Our Simulated Stalking Experience is ideal for beginners, non-shooters, wildlife enthusiasts, or those who would like to experience a day on the hill and learn the fundamentals of deer stalking in a relaxed environment without harvesting an animal.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your experience begins with collection from your accommodation on the estate, or alternatively by meeting your stalker at a designated point on the estate.

Before heading onto the hill, you will be introduced to the rifle and have the opportunity to fire practice shots at a target to ensure you are comfortable and confident with the equipment. Rifle hire and ammunition are included in the price.

EXPERT GUIDES

Accompanied by an experienced stalker, you will then set out across the estate's stunning hills and glens, learning the key principles of stalking along the way. Your guide will explain how wind direction influences deer behaviour and stalking tactics, how to move discreetly through the landscape, and how to observe wildlife effectively using binoculars.

As the stalk develops, you will be guided into position to take a shot at our life-sized steel stag target. Following the shot, you and your stalker will inspect the target together, discussing shot placement, the likely effects of the shot, and the importance of accuracy and ethical decision-making in deer management.

Simulated Stalking typically lasts 4–5 hours, depending on weather conditions, terrain and the pace of the group, and costs £600 per person.
