PIGEON COTTAGE

With an interesting history dating back to 1850, these original farm steading buildings have been lovingly restored and converted into high quality accommodation. In keeping with its namesake, you could be enjoying some clay pigeon shooting during your visit to the Estate! And when you stay in this lovely cottage at Kipney Steading, you’ll be assured of a homely stay.

Entering from the pretty courtyard, on the ground floor, there is an open-plan living area, with stylish lounge chairs for relaxing and watching TV. Patio doors lead to the outside terrace. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a double oven, an induction hob and a dining table.

Upstairs, on the mezzanine level, there is a beautiful double bedroom featuring a superking bed and an ensuite bathroom. Guests love details like the chandelier and cosy throws, which bring a luxurious feel to the cottage.

There is ample car parking and an electric car charger adjacent to the property. A notable feature is that the adjoining cottages and nearby Kipney farmhouse can all be booked together to house larger families and groups. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate stag or hen parties at Pigeon Cottage.

Equipment such as BBQs, garden furniture, cots, etc. are all available on request. Regretfully, dogs are not allowed in the property although we can provide kennels on the Estate for your four-legged friend.

Due to the large feature and skylight windows light floods into Pigeon Cottage during the long days of our Scottish summers. Guests should be aware that whilst there are curtains in the downstairs area for privacy, it is impossible to completely block out light to the mezzanine bedroom.

We had the most wonderful festive break at Pigeon Cottage and would highly recommend the estate for anyone looking for a country escape in the beautiful Perthshire hills.
The location is fantastic as you have the peace of the countryside with easy access to the main attractions/towns/tourist spots across Scotland. The cottage has all that you need for a short or long stay and has been finished to the highest quality for a cosy, comfortable and luxurious stay. There are fantastic walks to access from the cottage and you can find all kinds of wildlife around, the most magical way to spend time in nature. Vikki and Phil are fantastic hosts and ensured we had all we needed for our stay. They were contactable throughout our stay and the welcome treats were so thoughtful and delicious!
We will definitely be returning to this beautiful sanctuary, thank you so much!
