Logiealmond Estate receive Highly Commended award

We’re delighted to announce that Logiealmond Estate received a Highly Commended accolade at the Scottish Country Sports Tourism Awards in the Best Sporting Innovator category! The prestigious awards were presented at a special reception held at the Scottish Game Fair at Scone Palace on the 5th July.

The award celebrates excellence and highlights outstanding achievements and dedication within the sector recognising businesses that contribute to country sports tourism in unique and innovative ways whilst championing responsible tourism practices.


Businesses are assessed on their passion to see country sports tourism thrive sustainably and grow for future generations, how they collaborate to deliver exceptional experiences with mutual benefits for communities and the environment, changes they are implementing to create higher quality experiences and enhance sustainability, and engaging new audiences to grow participation and showcase Scotland as the “go-to” place for country sports.



Logiealmond Estate has a unique natural setting on the southern fringes of the Highlands encompassing the best of what the Scottish countryside has to offer. With a focus on protecting and enhancing the rich local biodiversity and landscape, there is ongoing large-scale replanting of over 300,000 mixed native Scottish broadleaf trees. The Estate is home to a vast number of red-listed birds it has the highest number of registered birds in Scotland including a golden eagle, ospreys, red kites, buzzards, lapwings and woodcocks and 54 breeding pairs of curlews.


A significant investment of over £24M has seen restoration of existing land and derelict buildings to create a unique year-round destination including luxury holiday accommodation for 96 guests, spa, wedding venue, butchery, farm shop and brewery. The Estate is also committed to becoming a net carbon, off-grid environment.


Shoot Captain and Estate Manager Philip Blount leads a team of six full time staff including three gamekeepers who are involved in conservation efforts to protect habitats and improve the Estate’s grouse moors.

It reflects the commitment and progress our team has made over the past four years to establish our high quality shoot days. With 14 drives here at Logiealmond and a full mix of sporting birds, we have guests travelling from all over the world to shoot and stay in our luxury shooting lodges.”

Complementing game shooting experiences, the Estate also arranges simulated game shooting, and rafting or fishing with local partners to create an exclusive itinerary for guests.
